I used to use the anti-aging fragrence free moisturizer with sunscreen and I loved it. I saw it at Wal-Mart a few days ago, so I scooped it up.
Right before I used it, I happened to notice the active ingredients, and all three were listed as, "sunscreen" so I read the directions and they say to put it on x minutes before going out into the sun, and to re-apply every two hours.
I fail to see why this is marketed and sold as "moisturizer with vitamins, anti-oxidants, and sunscreen" when all it is is expensive sunscreen. I'm very disappointed, and will be returning this product.

I just turned 40 and I thought I'd try something to help with the redness and minimize pores. Since I've been happy with the Complete Oil of Olay moisturizer with sunscreen for years now, I thought I'd try this. SO DISAPPOINTED!
Firstly, it makes my face tingle and burn. This fact just makes me worried about what it's doing to my skin and what chemicals are in it. I don't have overly sensitive skin, but I worry what I'll wake up to.
I also agree with some of the other comments - it says it's unscented but it stinks of sunblock. It's too thick which makes it hard to apply. And I do not like the pump - it won't let me decide how much to dispense. It either comes out too little or way too much.
I wish I could just return it and get my money back and try something different. This one's not for me.

After running out of my old moisturiizer, I wanted to try something new. I saw an Olay commercial on the product and decided to go for it. I had issues with my pore size, blemishes and some fine wrinkles. After using this for only one week, I noticed a SIGNIFICANT change. I have very sensitiv skin and I love that I did not have any kind of reaction. I have an overall glow to my face, no blemishes or breakouts and those fine wrinkles are seriously smoothing out! I am amazed and ecstatic with this product. I will never use anything else!!!!

I am always looking for the best anti aging skin care regimen. Well, i went to the store looking for the regenerist system and came across this product. I recently turned 30 and have been worried about looking old too soon. Well, I started using this a week ago and I love it. I have noticed strangers have gone from calling me " Mam" to calling me "Hun"! The only reason i diddnt give it 5 stars is because it is really thick. I am guessing that is because of the SPF in it. I will definately continue using this product!

Too Thick!

I normally don't write reviews, but since I spent so much time researching my purchase and based it mostly off of reviews I felt it necessary to return the favor. This moisturizer got good reviews and recommendations, but was much too thick and greasy for my liking. It was lighter than a sunscreen, but felt way to similar and smelled too strongly of sunscreen.My face didn't feel "normal" again until hours after application--there's no way I would have put make up on over this moisturizer. After the first application I knew that this was not going to work for me and I returned it immediately for Olay's Regenerist product with sunscreen (much better).

Why I love Olay

I am 51 But if you look at the skin on my face I know it looks younger. I have been using Olay products since age 16, and when total effects was introduced my skin was at the right time to use. While I know that my genetics help you should see my 88 yo Mom who introduced me to Olay and that I avoid the sun helps your product is why I do not mind the mirror.

Unusual smell

I have used Oil of Olay facial moisturizer for years because it is a light product and really makes my skin feel great! However, since the beginning of summer, after using the product, a curious smell develops. I guess the best way to describe the smell would be to compare it to the smell of diesel exhaust. This could just be a chemical reaction unique to me but I've never had this happen before. I'll feel much better if you tell me the formula has changed. I DO love this Oil of Olay product!

I bought this yesterday and my skin feels wonderful today. However, doing a search on all the main important ingredients, I think I just paid $30 for a bottle of sunscreen.

I receive Total Effects moisturizer for a challenge and I really love it. I ordered the face wash cream but wish I had ordered the foaming but other than that I really want to try to night cream and other items in this line. I would recommend it highly to all.

Thick, Greasy & Heavy Sunscreen Smell

I like the other products in the Total Effects line (cleanser, night cream & eye cream), and got the Fragrance Free Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 because I wanted the SPF coverage, but I can't stand using it because it is SO THICK and does NOT absorb--even after using oil blotters to try to reduce the shine.
This product makes my face GREASY and SMELLS like sunscreen--REALLY smells strong! My husband can smell it standing next to me, and says it smells like I'm going to the pool--I couldn't agree more. I haven't met a UV product this greasy or smelly since sunscreen in the early 90s. Considering how nice the other products are, I don't understand why Olay can't get this product to absorb nicely and reduce the sunscreen smell with other brands out there (including actual sunscreen brands!) can make their products absorb nicely and not smell so strongly. I'm not talking about masking with heavy perfumes (though it would be a nice option to have a lightly scented SPF 15 moisturizer in the line like the night cream... hint hint), but where is the value in spending almost $20 on a 1.7 oz bottle of this stuff when I can buy a 20 oz bottle of straight up sunscreen to slather on my face? I lost my $ on this product, sadly, and will be looking to replace my daily moisturizer from L'Oreal or Garnier or whoever.
I expected more from you, Olay!

I started this Olay Product around the beginning of August and I can tell it has done its job. My face feels very smooth and fresh. The only downfall would be that after applying, if I dont apply makeup over it, it looks like Im sweating or feels wet. Overall a good product, wish it had a higher SPF than 15 though.

I have been using this for over 12 years and it is amazing. The spf really helps and the fragrance free is great for my super-sensitive skin.

Olay Total Effects UV moisturizer is serious lotion for women serious about protecting and hydrating their face.
I started using this about 10 years ago when I finally came to my senses in my early 30's and decided it was time to wear an SPF every day like all the experts say to do.
Well, I religiously wear this lotion every single day and my skin has never looked better. I'm sure I look younger than I am because of Olay. Not only does the Olay Total Effects UV moisturizer keep my face super hydrated, but it keeps those awful UV rays from making me look older!
Thank you Olay, once again, for your superior products! :)

I absolutely love this product. I have received many compliments on my skin since I started using this product about 8 months ago. I don't have any more dry patches and my skin seems to glow. Love it!

This lotion is exactly identical to the Fragrance Free lotion, but this contains effective UVA & UVB protection which is VITAL for daily living and wrinkle prevention. As with my previous review for the aforementioned product, this is wonderful on the skin - Light, fresh and effective. I prefer this over the Regenerist line of products. More affordable too!

I've been using expensive La Prairie for about 10 years. My dermatologist told me the creams I've been using are too rich for my skin and told me to save my money.
Found Oil of Olay Total Effects and love, love, love it. It goes on creamy without clogging my pores or feeling too thick.
I love that it's fragrance free.
Very happy with this product, non-SPF version, and Regenerist fragrance free serum. My only issue about Oil of Olay is that scented products smell bad to me and there are no free samples. My previous SPF from Saks cost $180.

finally! a uv lotion that i can use. ive tried so many products with uv protection and they all had a bad smell that i couldnt stand. im so glad you guys made this fragrance free. ive tried the aveeno uv lotion and i hated the smell and the feel of the lotion. ive tried others too and this is the best so far! my face feels so good after i put it on. and my make up looks better on me since ive started the total effects. i also use the night firming cream which has a fresh scent that i love. i hate perfume smelling scent but this one smells fresh. and i also use the blemish cleanser. they work great together! i dont think i can live without these products ever again. please dont discontinue them. as i said in my other reviews i started using total effects after regenerist definity and pro x came out. so i get so scared that you will just end up discontinuing and replacing total effects. please dont do that! dont replace something perfect that cant be beaten! thank you so much. my skin looks great and i owe it all to olay! you guys are the best in skin care!

I was using the Definity Color Recapture and felt like there was just a little too much color. I have been using the Total Effects Cleanser for a while and love it, so I thought I'd give the moisturizer a try. I just put it on this morning and I really can't believe how my skin looks! I look like I'm glowing and I keep checking myself out in the mirror! I am a stay-at-home mom of 3 boys and I am outside a lot, so I love the SPF! I can't wait to see how my face looks in a month or so!

I used the Total Effects plus SPF 15 for the first time today. I washed my face then applied it to my face and neck. I'm going to be 35 in a few months, I have a few wrinkles by my eyes and mouth, I'm hoping this will help with that. So far I like this product, it went one easily, does not feel greasy and my face feels very soft. The real test will be tonight when I go out with the girls and put on my makeup. I hope it doesn't make my face look greasy after I put my makeup on like other moisturizers have in the past.
