I've used this for decades & up until menopause it was great but now going to switch to the regenerating/age defying product line. Noticing eyelid dryness not helped by this product & acne is a continuing challenge. Had to stop Proactiv for cost reasons- coming back to Olay.

Please don't confuse Olay Moisturizing Lotion Sensitive Skin (Classic series) with Complete All Day Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15– Sensitive. (Complete series)
I do believe P&G makes both, but the first one is really hard to find in some stores such as Walmart and Ulta in my local area. Fortunately, I was able to buy both at the Target stores.

Now on to the review.... It's a timeless classic. I grew up watching my grandmother using the original pink fluid, but I prefer the sensitive version without any fragrance. Unlike the original, it doesn't contain mineral oil which I am allergic to. Great moisturizer, sinks in nicely without the stickiness. It also contains nicotinamide which added plus. I use mostly on my neck and decollete area. I hope they never discontinue it. I hope they bring back the cream version like some reviewers mentioned here.

This is the best lotion I have tried. Sinks in nicely. Loovvvee that there is no fragrance and is not sticky. I use at night and wake up to fresh, bright skin. Wish it was sold in more stores and hope it is never discontinued. Now if I could only find one this good with SPF I would be set. Thanks Olay great product!!!

Fantastic for my oily, sensitive, rosaceous skin. Light, spreads so easily, no dragging, sinks into skin, no greasiness, no balling & pilling up, no burning/stinging. No SPF, so GREAT for NIGHT-TIME USE. Very good ingredients. Hygienic bottle packaging, not a jar ! Perfect !

Can't do without

I have been using Olay Moisturizing Lotion since I was in my early 20's (I'm 63 now). Starting using Sensitive lotion and now I won't use anything else. I was frantic when I could not find it in rural Iowa. I now have to order online. Thank goodness I was able to find it. This is the very best lotion. Works great with any foundation or just alone. I have almost no lines even at my age. I thank Olay for the links to order it online.

Love this product, but what's with new packaging?

I have been using the Olay for sensitive skin forever. I love this product and it makes my skin so soft. However, I've recently had trouble finding it in any of the target stores in my area (There are at least 7) When I do happen to find it, the new bottle is plain white with no color on it. It resembles a cheap, generic version of the lotion. What happened to the color scheme that used to be on the bottles? Almost seems as if a 3rd party is supplying the product. I know that's not the case, but I think it's bad form to have all the other Olay products beautifully designed and the sensitive skin lotion treated like an outcast. Just a thought...from someone who works in the world of marketing.

I am 36 years YOUNG and take pride in the fact that I am always assumed to be no older than 25 thanks to this product. I got sunburned at a local river last Sunday (Today is Thursday). I always wear this lotion, but yesterdsay when I started to peel on my face (YUCK!) I started applying the lotion not only in the morning during my usual routine, but also once every hour or so. The peeling has stopped and my skin just looks redish brown instead of reptilish and red LOL No other website has remedies for peeling, but I have found a treasure. Thanks Oil Of Olay!!!! You saved me!

I really like this lotion and hope it stays around the market for a long while. I cannot use the Complete lotions or anything with sunscreen. I actually like the original beauty fluid but my skin does not likle the red colorings. My lotion bottle says 'Olay moisturing lotion', with 'sensitive skin' toward the bottom. "Active hydrating fluid' is not in the description title anywhere. The ingredients are as listed here on the website. For those who like the cream, Dollar General had it along with the lotion.

Good for acne prone skin

Not familiar with the previous version of this product, as I am a new user, but I have been very happy with it as it is now. I have acne and I dry my skin with products to clear it up. This moisturizer works really well to rehydrate my skin so it doesn't over compensate and produce more oil (and therefore less acne).

Please bring back the cream version of active hydrating sensitive skin! The lotion is not the same! It does not provide the same moisturizing benefits as the cream. The original cream (non sensitive version) is pink and it stinks! I would never use it on my face. If I can't buy the active hydrating cream sensitive skin, I will not buy any Olay product.

I agree with the reviews below. Olay really doesn't offer a good heavy cream for dry, sensitive skin anymore since they pulled the cream version of this product. They have recommended to me the fragrance free version of the total effects but it is still more of a lotion type of product. Those of us with dry skin like those thick creams. Olay, please bring back or come up with a new cream for dry sensitive skin.

I agree with the review below, the cream was an awesome product. I had used it for years. It moisturized my dry skin so well. I also tried this product once they discontinued the cream and it does not even compare to the cream. Olay tried telling me the lotion version offers the same benefits as the cream version did. Why would you have two products that offered the same benefits? By the way they don't, this lotion does not help dryness really. Dry skin needs creams

Olay recommended this since they discontinued the cream. This is nothing like the cream. This does a horrible job on someone with dry skin. We need thick creams. Please bring back the cream version. Why would you discontinue a classic product

I love this product and have been using it for years... recently it has been extremely difficult to find it anywhere. What's going on? I hope it's not being discontinued. This needs to be back on the shelves like it used to be!

I have been using this product since I was a teenager, merely because my mother used it. I had no idea that 20 years later I would still be in love with this product. It feels great. It's light. It's a classic. I get raves on my skin on a daily basis and people ask what I use. I always think that the moisturizer is half the battle. I am truly grateful that this product has stood the test of time and continues to deliver it's best. I have tried to branch out to other products just for fun and still find myself back with the Olay Moisturizer. So glad you're out there making me feel pretty!

SPF a disadvantage

Dear Olay,
I would like to indicate my preference for the Active Hydrating Sensitive Skin Beauty Fluid product without SPF. I have had challenges finding the version without SPF in the past, but now I fear that this version is on the way out. As a man with dry somewhat sensitive skin, it is obvious why I prefer the Sensitive Skin version of this product (no extra fragrances etc). Perhaps you folks can sell me a case at a discount so I can save some money and get the version I really want/need. Anyway, here is my reasoning. In the winter in Chicago, we don't need SPF (why cut out the slim chance of obtaining some Vitamin D through the facial skin). In the summer, we need SPF on exposed skin but probably more than 15, especially the face during golf. I am a golfer and I use the product on my back and chest in addition to my face (over aloe on face except eyes). The version with SPF does not soothe in the eye area thus it is not usable there. It really does seem a little less cooling in general than the version without SPF. I am going to out to Target to try to find the version without SPF (Jewel/Osco in my area is no longer stocking this version). Currently, I have to grease up with a GNC product at night in order to get eye area soothing and moisturizing. My suggestion: keep the version without SPF going and if possible, offer it in a larger container at a lower price per ounce.

The old formula was amazing! I used it for ten years. It never clogged my pores and my face always felt refreshed when I used it. I tried a generic brand only once and returned it within a week because my skin was dry and flaky from it. I wish I could return the new complete formula and get the old stuff back! This stuff is NOT for very sensitive skin! My face hurts and gets blotchy and red when I use it. You can smell the sunblock and it stinks. I've had to STOP using the new formula because my face is breaking out and feels like I have a rash all over it! PLEASE bring back the good stuff. I've always loved your products but I will be searching for another moisturizer that won't hurt my face.

I have been using the sensitve hydrating lotion more then 30 years. I ONLY use this lotion. I am freaking out that someone thought it needed improvement. I agree with all of the other reviews when they say that this burns the eyes. I have extremely sensitive skin and I am allergic to the SPF in most lotions. And I can not use any other formula without irritation. PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY LOTION IN ANY WAREHOUSE PLEASE LET US KNOW. We really were devoted consumers to the old formula. I bought a bottle once every two months for thirty years. That is a chunk of change over the years that I have spent on this product. Please bring the old lotion back I dont know what I will do without it.

Disappointed with new formula

I have been using the active hydrating lotion for years , when i could not find the package with the green lettering i went ahead a bought the one in the yellow package for sensitve skin . I was disapointed . It burned my eyes and it felt heavy on my face . please bring back the old formula .
