Breaks after about 3 months

I really loved this cleansing system --UNTIL--- it broke after about 3 months. I kept it in a carrying case, no water ever got to it, yet it just stopped working. I was devastated because I used it 3-4 times a week and it really left my face squeaky clean! Unfortunately, the warranty had expired so I would have to re-buy a new one! I don't want to do that for a product with such a small life expectancy. Now, I have no brush but plenty of refills and face wash. I guess I am going to look at other products because this one did not do its brand justice! SAD FACE :(

Great brush but it breaks!

I purchased this brush and the skin clearing system about 7 months ago. My skin has never looked better! I had never used a cleansing brush before and it made my skin feel fantastic. However, after only 7 months, the brush stopped working. I've seen other reviews saying the same thing, so it must be a common problem with the product. Beware!

The Pro X is such an awesome product I use it every day, twice a day. Lately, it has been running out of power half way through my wash. I've only had it 2 months, and I replaced the batteries 3 times in a row, and still it turns off half way through my cleanse. I would have given this product 5 out of 5 if it didn't malfunction. Hopefully I'll be able to get a replacement soon!

I was happy with this until I had to change the batteries. I have only been using this about twice per week for 6 weeks, and it stopped working. I just tried to change the batteries, and it still won't work. I called the company, and they are sending me out a coupon for a replacement. I hope this will be an online coupon, as I only saw these around Christmas. I will let you know,

I keep this in the shower and use it every morning! Easy, quick and my combination skin is noticeably better (thanks to this tool and the Pro X Acne Protocol) ! I wish I could say I never have break outs, but its far less than previously! I use both the cleansing exfoliation cream that was included with the brush system as well as the Olay Pro-X Clear Acne Protocol cleansing cream and acne cream.

i like the brush. i use it with my total effect cream cleanser at night. then i apply my night moisturizer cream, the next day i wake up my skin looks beautiful. i have been using the brush for one month, i have no complaints.

I start using the Olay Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System daily 2/2/11. I've seen great improvement in my skin. After 18 months the unit finally gave out. Not bad considering how reasonably it's priced. Just bought my second one. I highly recommend this system.

I really like the brush but my only complaint is that the bristles are TOO SOFT. I hope that you all can make other options for the replacement brushes other than soft, maybe some that come with firmer bristles so we can get a better scrubbing feeling. I gave it a 3 stars because of the brush feel. I LOVE the price compared to the "others".

I love this product!
I always wanted to buy similar product my friend recommended for $200 but was not able to afford, when I saw this product I bought it right away.Its affordable.
I have very oily skin, it helps a lot.
Use it twice a day, love it especially during night time when I use it to take off my make up.

Bought it 4 months ago and still running. I changed the batteries about a month ago and its working fine.
Also, in my opinion it does the same justice what a $200 product would do. So this is within my price range and just perfect, I do not have to go to special stores to buy the brush for it, I can simply buy it from any pharmacy/store. (Well almost) but I do not have to go out of my way or drive 40 minutes to the special store to buy any brush or cleanser for it. So do try it, it comes with 30 or 60 (if not wrong) money back guarantee, so what are we loosing?

I was really pleased with the results of this product. I'm pregnant and can't use the Retinol products I had been using. I bought the brush starter package two months ago, but the brush has stopped working. I've been very careful about drying the unit after use and keeping fresh batteries in it. When I turn it on, it won't stay on. Considering that the starter kit comes with very little exfoliant, the brush has now become a $30 paperweight. I've come to expect a high quality product from Olay and based on my experience have always received that. I'm disappointed and won't purchase one every 2 months if this is what happens with them (based on other reviews, which I now wish I'd read before I purchased this, it seems to be a common problem).

I have worked as a make-up artist/skincare advisor for several elite department store cosmetic companies and have tried the cleansing systems sold for $200 as they let us take it home and try it. Olay Pro-X cleansing system is inexpensive and does the SAME THING! I love it and I do NOT go a day without using it. I LOVE that I can use it in the shower or in the sink! I have combination skin, so it helps a LOT with preventing breakouts and has made a BIG difference in my skin tone and texture. It has worked great and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is looking for the added cleansing and the ultimate skin-care benefits that this gives your skin. Just wish it was rechargeable, but I replace the batteries about every 3 months.

I have been using this for almost a year now and find it to be a wonderful addition to my cleansing routine. I use it at night and with Olay cleansers (varied from the line) and I do feel my pores are smaller and the absorption of my skin moisturizers and Retin-A that I use are greater and therefore creating better results with skin texture and tone. I am prone to break-outs, but feel that they have been significantly decreased since using this product with my routine. Great deal for a much lower price than the "big name" and price product!

I'd been looking at the system for a while and purchased when it was on sale. I've been pleased with the results. I agree that the battery compartment is hard to open, but I think that's because they've tried to make it water resistant.
I'm using a regenerist cleanser - foaming in morning, exfoliating in evening. I like the dual speeds. I also use the brush on my throat and neck area. Because of other reviews about product failure, I did keep the UPC and receipt.

Great product with unfortunate issues

I would like to start off with the fact that I would have given this product a 5 star rating if it weren't for two major problems I have come across with this product.
First, the positive: it's a great scrubber that really worked at smoothing out my skin and basically getting rid of make up or every day dirt. I used it once every day with fantastic results. Over time, my skin looked brighter and felt a lot softer. For the price, this was an excellent investment. My sister-in-law owns the Clairsonic, and I felt the Olay system worked just as well. Even my husband loved using it.
My first issue with the system is the battery compartment. I found it extremely difficult to open when I needed to change the batteries. There needs to be some improvements there as I was incredibly frustrated and foregoed using the product for a day or two just because I couldn't change the batteries.
My second issue is that after a month and a half, the unit died. I thought it might be a battery issue, so I put in brand new batteries. Unfortunately that didn't work - it just won't power on. Because of the short warranty period (30 days) and seeing other users having the same issue, I'm reluctant to buy a new unit. If I have to replace the unit every 2-3 months, I'd rather spend the extra money for a professional system (my sister-in-law's $150 investment is still going strong even after two years of daily use and international travel).
I'm sorry Olay - I had told others about how great the cleansing unit was working for me. Because of these short falls, I can no longer recommend it.

While I found this product to be very nice and reasonably priced, I am disappointed with the fact that it stopped working after just 2 months. of course there is only a 30 day warranty on it. I replaced the batteries. something is not right in the power switch. Again, I really liked the product, but feel as if I washed 30 bucks down the drain.

personally i love olay. i bought this about a week ago and kinda disappoint this time .The cleanser came with this was empty ,there was nthing in there. It works fine but its hard to change batteries

I have only used this for about a week but I have to say that I really love this product. I use the cleanser and brush once a day and I can see that my skin is more bright and almost feels like it is glowing. luv it!
