i did not like this product. it seemed very thick and hard to work into a lather, i also felt like it didn't rinse off completely. i did enjoy the scent tho, very nice like other olay products. i do however LOVE olay's foaming face wash for sensitive skin & the blackhead clearing scrub. those are a gel consistency and rinse clean, perfect for my oily/combo skin :)

I have battled oily skin since my 30's. I've tried lots of products that always left me frustrated until I tried the shine control cleanser, it leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh and whats best of all-no shiny nose for the rest of the day! This product really works and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants great looking skin and is tired of throwing their $ away on products that don't do as they have promised. I now am inspired and eager to use more Olay products.

i just used this for the first time and i'm already in love! i have oily-combination skin and this makes it feel so soft while reducing shine, but doesn't overdry at all. definitely recommend this product!

This stuff works!!! I never been this oil free after using any other face wash that says it controls oil. I no longer have to search for another face wash after I am done with this one...I am repurchasing for the rest of my life.

I have just started a new "Olay" routine and this is my first step. I love this stuff! It really does clean better than anything else out there, even heavy makeup. Foams up beautifully and I only need a tiny amount- great for my budget. If you have sensitive yet combo/oily skin you should really give this a shot. I couldn't be more pleased.

I first bought this a couple of years ago and love it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I don't really care for the smell, too strong. I wear Revlon Colorstay foundation and have a hard time finding face cleansers that lather up and remove the makeup. I use the mud with the Olay foaming cleanser and it works great to lather up and remove all my makeup-I only need to use a tiny bit. I hope they continue to make this for years to come.

I've never been big on following a skincare regime, but after going through Olay's skincare consultation, I have started following one regularly. I love the Purifying Mud Lathering Cleanser so much! Usually when I wash my face, it feels tight and dry--but not with this. My skin feels silky smooth each time I use it. It smells wonderful and keeps my skin looking great. I also feel like I notice a youthful glow after washing my face with this cleanser. Thanks Olay! Please don't stop making this, I love it.

I LOVE this cleanser. I am very picky about beauty products and this is just as good as the $20 clinique foaming cream cleanser (pink tube). I have dry skin but need deep cleansing for problem areas that get occasional blemishes (nose & chin). This deep cleans without drying my skin out. I hope olay makes this forever.

I was excited to try this out but it is one of the worst products I have ever used (and I love all olay products!).
It leaves your skin so dry even after putting moisturizer on. The smell is terrible, very chemically smelling...
it makes your face feel tight and does not remove makeup...

This Is a great cleanser! The smell Is very pleasant & the texture is wonderful. I really like that it starts out as a cream & then when activated by water it turns into a very nice, rich, foamy lather :) I actually use mine with a Clarisonic & less than a dime size amount Is plenty! Before I know It I am all covered up In it's foamy goodness! Leaves my skin very polished & silky! Would highly recommend!

I bought this face wash today after 30 minutes of staring at the face wash aisle. I used it tonight and wow! It has a silky texture and wonderful smell. I can't wait to use this everyday. My skin didn't feel dried out, just fresh!

The very first time I tried this cleanser, I knew it was fantastic! From the great smell to its rich lather and deep cleaning, this product is awesome. I have very sensitive skin, and I really like the way it deep cleans without over drying. I will definitely use this product every day.

This is in reply to Florida Star, I think is what she called herself. I read where mud dries your face out...that could be why it dried your face out. I read where it says to use a cleanser with moisturizer in it if you tend to have dry or combination skin. If you have oily skin in the T zone of your face...maybe use a little of the mud cleanser there. I'm not a beauty expert, I just thought maybe I might be able to say something to help you cause I am disabled from a brain aneurysm and all I do, morning, noon, and night is read, read, read!!! Good Luck! I only use Olay products, the least expensive ones, cause I think they are the BEST for the money. I've been using them for as long as I care to remember; not because I'm ashamed of Olay...but I am of my age. No, I am 54 years old, about to be 55 on the 29th of this month and since I've been using Olay...I look GREAT!!!

I began using Olay Purifying Mud Lathering Cleanser this week, and I'm very happy with the results I'm getting. My skin is oily, with less oil during the winter, and I feel I'll be able to use it yearound. I love the feel of my skin after I wash. I would appreciate your suggestion for eye care, and moisturizing lotions for followup to my regimen. Thanks, OLAY!

Deep Cleansing Indeed!

This cleanser does leave your face squeaky clean. It leaves my skin extremely dry after use, however. I'm not sure if it's supposed to do this or not, but I apply Regenerist Regenerating Serum and my skin is smooth, velvety and moisturized. Overall I like it, but for my skin I may need something that won't leave it so dry after cleansing.
