I don't know if this will help the disappointed people, but I needed to throw in my two cents. I was disappointed when I first purchased this product. It worked wonders for the light hair on my upper lip, but did nothing for the chin hairs, which I have shaved for years and wanted to be able to stop shaving. I purchased a box, and did not realize there were two "strengths" of the Duo Hair Remover. After reading all the information on the website, I was willing to spend another $27 (CVS) and try the Med to Coarse formula. I just used it today, and I am very happy to report that this formula did remove the chin hairs. It did not burn me (left it on for 9 mins) and I am very happy with the results. Hopefully, the disappointed reviewers might discover this too. I hope this is a help to people reading the reviews.

The removal of small hairs above my lip was painless and only took 8 minutes. The fine hairs dissolved easily and left absolutely no redness, pain or any other evidence that I had used the product, other than I now have a perfectly bare area above my lip. I've never used a product like this before and I was very nervous about it. Now, I'm really happy I tried it!

Tried the facial remover for coarse hair and was amazed at how it easily removed all of the hair on the first try. Turned the hair into an ash-like consistency and easily wiped off. I've tried many other brands and had to use more than one application to remove all the hair and my skin stayed a little red. I have no redness at all from this product. I thought it was a bit pricey, but after these results, it's definitely worth the price. I had clipped a $3.00 coupon, so this helped. You get your money's worth after only 2 uses, because that's less than the cost of 2 waxes, and you have many more uses from these tubes. Will definitely recommend this product!

ive been searching for a way to get this ugly facial hair off my top lip with out irriating and breaking out, my mouth area is very senistive and i was afraid i was going to break out after using this, but i didnt! i followed the directions and tested it on my skin 48 hours before i applied it and nothing i was so thrilled, once i used the cream and everything it worked great! the hair came right off, i had to pluck just a little at the end but that was it i highly recommend this to anyone! the only thing i didnt like about it was it was 22$ i was afraid to spend this much if it didnt work but it did and im super happy! Costly but Effective!

I'm not one to review. However, after using this product I just had to. My daughter is now 2 years old but when I was pregnant with her, I had to undergo hormone therapy for the duration of my pregnancy. This resulted in my once smooth face to develop course and fine hair to grow on my upper lip, chin, and single black hairs to sprout on my cheeks every now and again. I've used other removers since my pregnancy but it either irritated my skin or failed to remove the hair. I ended up getting bi-weekly waxing on both upper lip and chin.
I am 27 years old with fair skin, green eyes, and blonde hair. My skin is very sensitive and prone to breakouts.......now. I read the instructions twice to make sure I was following the directions correctly. I applied the balm, which is so soothing and then the hair remover. I waited for 8 minutes and removed with a cotton ball then rinsed with warm water as per the instructions. My skin felt a little sensitive afterward so I applied some Burt Bee's Conditioning Balm. The balm that comes with the kit may work to help sooth a little afterward. Within a couple of minutes, my skin felt great and oh so smooth on both my chin and upper lip. I will continue to use this instead of painful and wrinkle causing waxing! My skin felt as smooth as waxing!
My only complaint is the cost! $22.00 for this at Walmart is a bit much. Then again, it saves a little money compared to bi-weekly waxing visits. Olay…I would like to see the price dropped a few dollars. ;)

Three years ago I began to see hair growth above my lip. I felt ugly and was extremely embarassed. I normally do not buy makeup or spend money on beauty products because of severe allergies and affordability. I just could not take the embarrassment any longer and gave in and spent the money.
To my surprised it worked and I wasn't allegic to it. I do have 2 small complaints. My lip is left feeling dry and rough. The other is that the hair begins to grow back in three days. The box says you can only reapply after a week.
I will continue to use it though!!

I tried this product expecting some good results but to my dismay this product disappointed me to the highest level.. The smell was irritating and as the product claims- it did not deliver.. after following the instructions,I found my facial hair was still there. it removed only 2 % of my facialhair....:(..... I would not recommend this product to anyone..

Was very excited to use 3.00 off coupon and purchase this...I am disabled and on limited income, so was thrilled to be able to try this with a discount...I have fine blonde hair on face and upper lip, following directions exactly, massaging small amount preproduct into skin before use, yes, taking care not to coat the hairs, just the skin underneath...applied the remover and left it entire time > and OH WAS I EVER so upset when it removed very little to NO hair!!!..being on a limited budget, it was a total waste of my money! Not to mention the time, pain and trouble to get out of the house to go and shop for it....I use other Olay products all of the time, and I love you guys, but seems that you missed the mark with this one! A Big price for a product that just doesnt work well~ Shame on Olay!

Since I turned 40 (now 44) I started noticing hair on my upper lip. I was always scared to go for a wax or try any hair removal products because I didn't want to end up with a red rash. When I saw a commercial for the hair removal duo I was excited to try it because I knew Olay to make great products. I'm SO happy I did! I applied the balm & rubbed it in for 20 secs then applied the cream for 7 mins & wiped it off with a tissue. Now all the hair is gone & no irritation! Thanks Olay!

Was excited to see product come out. But, was very disappointed when I tried it. It did not remove any hair. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and used it twice leaving it on longer the 2nd time. The end result was the same. Nothing removed. Love Olay products but disappointed this did not work.

I've been using Olay products for 30+ years and have always been very happy with them. I, too, was thrilled to see them come out with a hair removal product! The first time I tried it, I thought I had done something wrong. No hair was removed. I tried again the following weekend, following the instructions exactly, and left on the full 10 minutes. Nothing was removed. It didn't even make the hair easier to pluck! For the first time, I'm very disappointed in an Olay product. Now that I've read the reviews, I'm wondering what others did to get it to work...

I was worried that this wouldn't work or that I would get a rash or irritation after using it. My skin is very sensitive and I also have rosacea. However, Good Housekeeping recommended this product, so I gave it a try. I followed the directions exactly and left the product on 10 minutes. I got great hair removal on my upper lip area and only had to pluck two hairs afterward. Those hairs were easy to remove with tweezers because the product softened the hairs. Best of all, I had absolutely no irritation or redness!

I have medium to coarse hair, and have used Nair for sensitive skin for a longtime now. Even w/ the sensitive skin formula, I'd still get an irritation and the hair did not always come off. Despite some of the negative reviews I encountered, I tried the Olay dual hair removal products and it WORKED! I used the medium to fine formula, followed the instructions to a T. left it on for 10 minutes and all of the hair came off and I have NO irritation!! I'm delighted. I tried it b/c my grandmother swore by Olay and she had the most amazing skin (some genetics, but still... an Olay woman all the way). Thank you!!

In my own experience, this product did not work for me at all. I read the instructions very carefully BUT still it did not work for me. I see that I am not the only one who found this product useless. I should of read the reviews before buying it. DO NOT waste your money buying this product. I had to apply the product 3 times before it works and you have to apply A LOT in order for it to do its job. I do not recommend it.

I have hair that grows on my upper lip,chin & right under my chin.I'm extremely self conscious about,so much so I have left from places & gone home when I realized I had forgotten to pluck them out.I have tried different types of Nair even the mens Nair,veet & all different types of waxes.I have always really liked Olay products & they have all work for me,so when I saw the commercial for the Oil of Olay facial hair remover last summer 2011,I was extremely excited,I thought (FINALLY SOMETHING THAT'S GONNA WORK!!!) I purchased the Olay facial hair remover on 06-05-2012.When I got it home I read & followed the directions carefully.When I took it off it removed VERY LITTLE of the hair & what it did remove it had come back by the very next morning.I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.It's had for me to say that because I have always loved all other Oil of Olay products I have used.

I have been using Olay products for years. The hair removal did not work at all. I followed the directions exactly and not one hair was gone. I certainly would not recommend this Olay product. I only wish I had read the reviews on here before I wasted my money.

Thanks Oil of Olay for a facial hair remover that finally works without the irritation and burn. I used this above my lip and was totally surprised, it's been over a month and I still haven't had to use it there again. My only wish is that it was a little stronger for those course hairs on my chin.

I was very skeptical about this product after reading the reviews, but this worked for me! I was really surprised because nothing ever works when it comes to hair removal. I seem to always get irritation with it. With Oil of Olay's I had no issues. I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and figured I'd get a huge zit afterwards, but no. Nothing and no long hairs. Hairs here and there have popped up, but nothing I can't pluck. I only used this on my upper lip since that's where I have the most hair. Anyway, I rate this 4 stars and would recommend it!

Was very hopeful,have put up with my hair on my chin and upper lip all my adult live.will have to still shave till some thing else comes along that works for me.most Olay products I love and they work very well but this one that I spent the most for doesn't.Thank you Olay for all the other great products but this one wasn't worth the money I spent for it.
